After a few months, the company conquered more markets to make its quality products known and tasted by more people, and visited Budapest’s grocery stores with its wide range of products.
Initially, the plant supplied just 16 types of bakery products, but within a few years this number had grown to nearly 100, much to the satisfaction of customers. After a few more years, the hotel was too small, so the bakery owners looked for a new site to provide the space they needed to grow the business.
At the very end of the last working day of 2004, Rubin-Bakery Ltd. successfully purchased the historic bakery in Kelenvölgy, which had been operating since 1939, but was not yet suitable for daily operations due to its poor technical condition.
By the autumn of 2005, however, after a huge amount of work, the bakery was renewed inside and out in a dignified manner and the purchase of the machinery and equipment needed to realise the big plans could begin. By the beginning of October, all the equipment was on site, but nothing was yet in place – and time was pressing.
On 16 October, the plant had to be moved in a single day, with continuous production, so that our dear customers would not be short of anything, even for a day. The most difficult day of the business was successfully completed, with only minor major problems, and the intensive development of the bakery began, which quickly managed to find bakers with the right qualities to complement the team of professionals, who set very high standards in theory and practice, which has been one of the pillars of the successful business over the years.
Rubin Bakery Ltd. currently serves its customers with 167 types of bakery products, many of which are not produced by any other company in the country.
In the confusion of abundance, you can find almost everything from wheat, rye and seed breads made exclusively with rye flour, to scones, buns and croissants, to various doughnuts and delicacies made from puff pastry with an ever-expanding range of fillings, not to mention the special bakery products unique on the Hungarian market, spelt and grape seed flour products.
In line with today’s requirements, from autumn 2009, the bakery’s fine bakery products are made with margarines completely free of trans fatty acids and the homemade fruit fillings contain only fresh or frozen fruit, without preservatives and colourings, thus placing even greater emphasis on quality, which is a major advantage over the multinationals selling inferior products, and not least because the bakery’s products are not only delicious but also healthy.
Next to the fiery hot ovens of the bakery, 22 professionals work day and night in almost continuous 24-hour production to provide deliciously fresh baked goods to customers three times a day in Budapest and the southern part of Pest county.
